I've just found a house that I want to buy. I want a bargain, but I'm not sure how much to offer. The house is up for about £170k and is in the Gloucester area. Any advice please?

If an estate agent has said a property is going to be decided on a sealed bid - are they allowed to look at each of the offers as well as the owner?

I have little faith in estate agents and think if they know what the bids are they will contact a few people and get back into an auction mode!

I want to buy a place with a friend, however he does not have the same deposit as me. I can see this causing all sorts of problems when we come to sell the place. Please can anyone tell me if there is anything legal in place we can sign, or do we have to go to a solicitor to get something written up from scratch.

Cheers

I want to buy my son a house with money left over from the sale of my current house. I would like the property to be 100% owned by him. Is this possible if I am the one who is paying for the house (and the mortgage is in my name)?

Thanks
